"Gill," a feature-length animated film co-produced by NAMU Animation and Meditation with a Pencil,
has been selected for the Feature Film Contest at the 48th Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Held annually in the southeastern French city of Annecy, the Annecy International Animated Film
Festival is a prestigious event often referred to as the Cannes Film Festival of animation.
It will take place from June 9 to June 15.

“Gill” is a feature-length animated film adapted from the novel of the same name by Koo Byung-mo,
and tells the story of Gon, a boy who grew gills at the end of his life.

“In Korea, theatrical animation is just beginning to establish itself as a culture and is in the process
of becoming an industry,” said director Ahn Jae-hoon. “I'm grateful to the people who have shown
their support and encouragement for the growth of Korean animation.”
